You Owe You

Privacy Policy

Version 1.0-draft

DRAFT — NOT FOR PRODUCTION. DRAFT v1.0 — this document is a working placeholder and is not legally binding. It will be replaced by a final, reviewed version before public launch.

1. Who we are

You Owe You is a personal project operated by the project owner. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can control it.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and a secure password hash so you can sign in.
  • Profile settings: your display name, initial debt, start date, week start, and locale preferences.
  • Activity data: the activities you define and the completions you log (activity, date, optional detail).
  • Consent records: the versions of Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted, plus timestamp and IP address.

3. Why we process it

We use your data to run the Service for you: authenticate you, store your activities, calculate your progress, and keep an auditable record that you accepted our terms.

4. Where it lives

Data is stored in our managed cloud database (Supabase / Lovable Cloud) inside per-user rows protected by row-level security.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your activity data with third parties. Infrastructure providers process data solely to host the Service on our behalf.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Deactivating your account hides it from the app; deleting it removes your rows permanently.

7. Your rights

You can view, export, and delete your data from the Settings screen. To request a full deletion or a copy of your data, contact the project owner.

8. Marketing

Marketing communication is strictly opt-in and separate from your acceptance of Terms and Privacy. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time.

9. Changes

We will bump this policy’s version whenever it changes and ask you to re-accept it before you can continue using the Service.
